Orthodontic treatment is not planned only to make teeth look straighter. Bite relationship, chewing pattern, cleanability, grinding habits, and existing restorations are all part of the assessment. That is why orthodontic planning usually goes far beyond a simple request based on appearance alone.
The choice between clear aligners and traditional braces is not determined only by esthetics. Required tooth movements, daily compliance, follow-up structure, and case type all matter together. Fixed appliances may offer better control in some cases, while aligners may fit more smoothly into daily life for others.
The goal of the orthodontic consultation is not to promote one method, but to define the approach that supports long-term balance in tooth alignment and bite. When measurements, photographs, and clinical analysis are reviewed together, the treatment path becomes clearer and more realistic.
